Abstract | Factors in concentration and composition of water pollution from oil shale residue are cumulative volume, porosity of oil shale retorting residue, soil moisture content, snowmelt rate and fraction of the snowmelt water that appears as runoff. Overland flow water quality model was developed and used successfully for runoff from rain and snowfall. |
