Abstract | A computer program for streamflow routing and simulation of reservoir operations is described. The program was developed for the Fraser River basin in British Columbia, but is completely general and can be applied to any river. Also described is a novel use of this program for short-term streamflow forecasting using only streamflow data. This type of forecasting was found to be very simple and useful in directing flood control operations. |
