Abstract | Background information and history of nuclear applications will be discussed with a review of limitations presented by the different techniques.A slide presentation will be made of the operating equipment showing physical limitations in snow water equivalent, soil moisture, and precipitation measurements with present technology.Trade-off considerations will be presented regarding accuracy, updating frequency and power consumption on given systems.Operating experience will be reviewed on systems operating in Idaho, Colorado, and California. |
