| Abstract | A description and report of hydrographic conditions in Chile, South America, where snow survey course networks are being extended to meet the increasing demands for forecasting streamflow and for reservoir regulation for hydro-electric power operations and future developments, with multipurpose projects involving flood control, irrigation and municipal water supplies.Snow survey procedures and water forecasting methods have been studied in the western United States to take advantage of the highly developed programs in operation. |
