Abstract

A description of the re-activation of the Central Sierra Snow Research Laboratory in 1956 by the U.S. Forest Service, California Forest and Range Experiment Station, Berkeley, California, in cooperation with the state Department of Water Resources at Sacramento, California is announced. Details of project plan and selection of data to be collected and areas of activity for investigation are described. Basic meteorological elements as measured by the corps of Engineers and Weather Bureau Cooperative Snow Investigations will be continued and plans to expand activities are discussed.
