Abstract | A report is presented on the results of chemical analysis completed on 98 samples of snow taken from the Sierra of California and Nevada, and also of snow from the west face of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah, as well as some samples taken form the snowpack on the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. Chlorine content analysis was made on all 98 samples. Complete chemical analysis was made on 60 of the samples representing all areas. The data are tabulated and shown, also graphical representations are included showing the relation of altitude and location. |
