Abstract | An illustrated discussion of a newly established network of snow survey courses to be used in forecasting streamflow of the Kunhar River. The gigantic Indus Basin Settlement Project is designed to create a system of reservoirs to impound over 50 million acre feet of water for power development and irrigation of some 25 million acres of land in West Pakistan. A system of water transportation between the Jhelum, Chenab, Beas, Sutlej, Ravi, Indus and Kunhar Rivers is planned through a complex of canals. |
