Abstract | Copies of correspondence received by Dr. Church are exhibited to show further need for an intensified network of snow courses at high elevations. The need for more wide spread information on tributary river basins is more and more evident. The main problem appears to be a lack of funds to finance the installations and maintenance costs throughout the coming years. Correspondence indicates that work is very slowly being accomplished towards this end through the cooperation of the Weather Bureau with a network of storage gages in the mountainous areas of Arizona, and the Agricultural Engineers establishing a limited number of courses as finances are available through their Colorado and Idaho offices. |
