Abstract

The accuracy of the forecasting procedures for the Missouri River above Fort Peck Reservoir is shown to be improved by adding weighting factors to precipitation data and from additional sophisticated statistical methods to test the factors for correlation coefficients and also to make full use of the snow survey courses installed in the headwaters areas along the Continental Divide in 1934.Graphical solutions show the effects of the corrective methods.
