Abstract | The subalpine Water Balance Model (WATBAL) was used to simulate the effect of temperature and precipitation change on streamflow from subalpine forests. Comparisons are made between the simulated change and the long-term variability of observed flow. The magnitude of the simulted flows were well within the range of observed flow but the timing of the peak, under a warming scenario, was advanced 3-weeks. |
