Abstract | Real-time forecast operations with the SSARR model have always required that the model have a routine to automatically adjust model streamflows to abserved conditions. Recently, efforts by the Corps of Engineers and the National Weather Service have led to an improved method for automatic model adjustment. Testing of the new procedure on both a rainfall runoff area and on a snowmelt area demosntrate that the new method shows promise for application in real-time forecasting efforts. |
