Abstract | A continuous water balance distributed parameter simultion model has been applied to the Boulder Watershed, an alpine basin operated for water supply purposes. The Precipitation Runoff Modeling System was modified to better represent the operation of the seven reservoirs in the basin. The modifications permit both simulation of given operating scenarios and determination of releases required to meet a given demand hydrograph. The model has been successfully calibrated and verified for several flow recording stations in the Watershed for water years 1982 through 1984. |
