Abstract | Planning the power operation of the Federal Columbia River Power System (FCRPS) is dependent on water supply forecasts at many points within the Pacific Northwest. These water supply forecasts in turn are dependent on appraisals of the snowpack and precipitation throughout the basin. This paper will describe the FCRPS and define how supply forecasts are used in planning the power operation of the FCRPS. |
