Technical Tour

On Thursday April 18th a technical tour will visit the Dr. Church Archives at the University Nevada Reno, and various labs at the Desert Research Institute (DRI).  We will see their Eco Cells which focus on climate controlled agriculture studies to grow crops under climate change scenarios. In addition to the Eco Cells and the ice core lab, we will see their Climate Engine which is on-demand cloud computing and visualization of climate and remote sensing data.

Lodging

The conference will be held at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel. The Renaissance is a beautiful four star hotel on the Truckee River Promenade. The negotiated room rate for our conference is $159/night. The hotel will honor the current federal perdiem rate for federal government employees with a valid federal government identification.
