| Abstract | The U.S. Geological Survey presents an economic study of using helicopters for over-snow transportation into remote locations of streamgaging stations and snow survey courses. Data is presented on helicopter use, contracts with operators and details of the working plans for the seasons snow survey and stream gaging schedules. A tabulation of operation statistics is shown. |
