Abstract | One of four papers dealing with snow hydrology of water yield from forested areas of different climatic areas in the United States.Water yield from the snowpack zone for the States of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine are discussed with relation to forest type (hardwood or conifer). A map, graphs, and tables illustrate the wide scope of data analyzed. Flood protection through snowpack management is shown to be the primary problem in the North-east States. |
