Abstract

An informal round-table discussion is presented by several authors. (1) Questions were asked of Mr. H.L. Potts relative to procedures of forecasting runoff from yearly photographs of the snow cover on the watershed. (2) A movie of snow surveying in the High Sierra was shown and commented by George A. Lewis. (3) What are the criteria for 'A Good Snow Course’ was discussed by O.C. Reedy and several other snow survey authorities. (4) Merril Bernard spoke relative to a forthcoming report 'Deficiencies in Hydrologic Research and Data'. He stated that this report could be used for intelligent planning of research projects in the direction of positive results. (5) R.S. Goodridge spoke of snow research project under way in the Ohio Valley in connection with flood control research. An experimental watershed had been chosen and instrumented.
