Abstract | A report of the winter sports activities carried on under the supervision of the National Park Service, within the several National Parks of California and Oregon. These activities have been carried on for the past five years with amazing rapidity in the numbers of people taking part in skiing and ice skating. New areas are being opened with good success for the concessionaires. Snow conditions are reported by the Park Service to outside interests. Snow removal equipment is being used to open roads that otherwise would remain snow bound until spring crowds become evident. |
